Look at http://www.hylafax.org/ , I use it at work as a heavy fax server
(32 modems connected through a Perle Specialix multi-serial-port card).
There's a client program to be installed on all the computers (or just
NFSmount /usr/local/bin from a server) that sends the fax requests to
the HylaFax server.
