For a month now the xinetd-2.3.9 errata package for Red Hat 7.x has been published. As this Bugzilla report shows, this package is amazingly broken and causing service failures after a certain number of connections. I have personally seen vsftpd, imap and vnc service fail due to this bug. Why has this not been addressed? For an entire month every Red Hat 7.x server that keeps up with latest updates and depends on xinetd would be broken! Please fix this ASAP! (Note, the xinetd-2.3.7-2 from Red Hat 8.0 seems to work fine in Red Hat 7.x with no problems.)
