I've been digging around and read a few of my books (all that dealt with
type1), but I can't find any current info on how to add type1 fonts to the
8.0 system.
I copied a pile of fonts into /usr/share/fonts/default/Type1, but now can't
figure out what to run so that the new contents of the directory register.
I know that the path is current because chkfontpath shows /usr.../Type1 in
the list...
Anyone?
