My laptop is an IBM A31p, 1.7G P4. I configured it with
RedHat 7.3 and it seemed to work well except for the modem.

Following my upgrade to 8.0, suspend just hangs the computer.
I am running the updated 8.0 kernel -- which fixed PCMCIA
for my Adaptec 1460c card! However, suspend is horribly
broken.

I have disabled hibernate in the bios.
Formerly, when I suspended, I could wake up and all was well,
or if X was not fixed, I could CTRL-ALT-F1 then back to
CTRL-ALT-F7 to recover. Now, when I suspend, following
the unsuspend the computer is hung.

Note, I am also using a USB mouse.
Info:
RedHat 8.0 with updates
IBM A31p, 1.7G P4, 512M RAM, big disk
XFree86 Version 4.2.0
Device "ATI Radeon Mobility M7"

Issues:
1) suspend hangs the computer
2) can't suspend if PCMCIA SCSI card is installed
3) have not been successful in getting modem to work
