ksirc and dsirc, dead?

Is this package DOA for RH 8.0.  The connection window says "DSIRC IS DEAD".
"Bad arg ength for Socket:pack_sockaddr_in, length is 0, should be 4 at
/usr/bin/dsirc line 182.

Any ideas?
