The other thing you need to make sure to do to make suspend-to-disk work
is that the Linux boot loader (lilo or grub) must be installed in the
partition containing /boot (and you need to mark tht partition active).
Installing the boot loader in the MBR is incompatible with
suspend-to-disk.
