Assuming the filesystem the iso is on is VFAT not NTFS: try booting the same system using a rescue CD. the lnx-bbc.org one is small and has md5sum on it. Not sure how big the various redhat rescue images are. I think the 7.3 CD has a resuce mode. not sure if it had md5sum on it. Chuck
