Hi all I apologize yet for this walhalla related problem. My question is iptables logging related.
What is the proper logging level value such that the log messages don't appear on the screen directly ? Actually, the '/sbin/ipchains -L -n -v -x' command, shows me the default logging level is equal to 4. This precise value makes the log messages are not only directed on the /var/log/messages, but on the screen too. Might you say me which logging level value should be accurate, in order to stop the logging on the screen, while keeping directing the log messages to the /var/log/messages file ? This logging level value may be set with the '--log-level level' parameter of the LOG target. Thank you very much for your responses. Best regards. Jean Francois Ortolo
