This is covered in the release notes.  Basically, it's illegal for Red
Hat to sell an os that has mp3 technology in it, without paying a fee
to Thompson et-al.  Since Red Hat keeps the download and boxed set
OS's the same, they pulled it from the downloadable version as well. 
The extra "fee" for selling the mp3 technology breaks GPL licensing,
and this is yet another thing that Red Hat did not want to do.  You
can still download various media players that support mp3.  Beware
that even though they say they are GPL licensed, they cannot be.  Mp3
copyrights/patents are incompatible with the GPL software license.
