VMware having problems

I get this message every time I close VMware:

Oct 03 04:53:12: scsi0:0|NOT_IMPLEMENTED F(831):654

This started happening on the two computers that I use with VMware right after installing 8.0 cleanly. I updated to the latest VMware Workstation on the one, but that didn't fix it. I tried shutting off write caching on the other, but that didn't fix it. I'm running Windows 2000 on both, as if it makes any difference.

I no longer have, and my boss likely won't spring for, support. Does anyone else here use VMware? Is it doing the same thing to you? I suspect this is a kernel issue (I'm brilliant, right?), but I don't even have a clue as to where to start.
