Hi all, I don't know if I'am the only one but I can't install psyche on my pc. I get the same error that was reported as bug 70350. Anaconda probes for the video card, the monitor and the mouse, starts xfree (I can see the mouse pointer and the background bitmap) and then it dies. Here's what I get (dumped by hand):
Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 639, in ? iutil.makeDriveDeviceNodes() File "/usr/lib/anaconda/iutil.py", line 420, in makeDriveDeviceNodes isys.makeDevInode(drive, "/dev/%s" % (drive,)) File "/usr/lib/anaconda/isys.py", line 265, in makeDevInode _isys.mkdevinode(name, fn) SystemError: (2, 'No such file or directody') install exited abnormally ... After that, if I switch to the VT #3 (Alt-F3), I see the probings and: * Started mini-wm * anaconda floppy device fd0 The strange thing is (compared to the bug previously reported) I don't have any LS-120. I've got 2 scsi cards, one Tekram (sym53c8xx) to which all my devices are connected (cd drives and disks) and one adaptec (connected to nothing right now), no ide... The funny part is that I boot from a cd (so I've no idea where this floppy thing is coming from but I can clearly see a floppy access just before anaconda fails). I was trying to install from nfs (linux askmethod) but I also tried: linux text (from cd) no parameters just enter (from a cd) linux (from a floppy via bootnet.img) Same result everytime... What should I do? Re-open the bug? Thanks for your help... BTW: I checked the images, they're ok -- Mathieu Chouquet-Stringer E-Mail : [EMAIL PROTECTED] It is exactly because a man cannot do a thing that he is a proper judge of it. -- Oscar Wilde
