I did consider GOffice, but for various reasons I decided gsegrafix was the better way to go.
The maintainer of gsegrafix has responded to all my mail, and it seems
that he has another release up his sleave.
Feel free to give him a nudge though.

If you start gnumeric you can also see the interactive graph
style changing dialog.
- Gnome project under GPL3
- gtk3 widget for graphs
- Interactive editing already included
- Used in gnumeric and abiword so possibly some more people
