Ok

I did (on openSUSE):
   git clone git://git.savannah.gnu.org/pspp.git
   cd pspp
  git checkout origin/sourceview
  make -f Smake
  ./configure
  make
  make install

Than psppire aborts as soon as I open a new syntax file. When building
from a tarball this works without a problem. Did I do something wrong
on my build?

Have fun
