Segundo consta a imagem [1], GNU Trix foi lançado em 1986 como o
primeiro sistema operacional de software livre semelhante ao Unix.
De acordo com a página do Wikipédia [2], os autores do kernel Trix
decidiram autorizar a sua distribuição como software livre, sendo
obviamente apropriado pelo Projeto GNU. Assim como todas as distros
Linux apropriam-se dos programas desenvolvidos por este PROJETO (e não
Fundação), e por outras distribuições Unix que apropriam-se das
interfaces gráficas como GNOME.
Como um trabalho de contextualização e documentação do software livre,
poderíamos nomear a enumerar quais foram os kernel utilizados por GNU
nessa caminhada iniciada em 1983.
Os que chamarem os usuários do sistema GNU de cachorros, nem sabem que o
sistema deles é compilado com GCC (Gnu C Compiler), pois deveriam saber,
porque a desinformação leva à ignorância.
Sobre Trix no Wikipédia:
/In a speech, Stallman elaborated that "The TRIX kernel runs,
and it has a certain limited amount of Unix compatibility, but
it needs a lot more. Currently it has a file system that uses
the same structure on disk as the ancient Unix file system does.
This made it easier to debug the thing, because they could set
up the files with Unix, and then they could run TRIX, but that
file system doesn't have any of the features that I believe are
