Hi Everyone, I noticed Solaris builds with SunCC use 64-bit builds by default. Sun specifically recommends using 32-bit binaries and libraries by default. Also see "Chapter 2 When to Use 64-bit" in the Developer Guide, https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19455-01/806-0477/6j9r2e2af/index.html .
Most other free software configures itself in a default state, which is 32-bit . Does anyone recall why 64-bit is built by default?
