Tony, I found a tray at another local company. I was only shipping 25 parts but was afraid that the pins would get bent in the AS-foam. Some quick tests proved that it was hard to prevent them from moving around in the box so I really wanted to find a tray.
Unfortunately the valley is on the other side of the continent so that was not really an option for me. :) Tim -----Original Message----- From: Tony Karavidas [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, October 29, 2003 1:22 PM To: 'Protel EDA Forum' Subject: Re: [PEDA] Off Topic: QFP Tray You should get someone to go dumpster diving here in Silicon Valley. Tons of crap like that get tossed around. How about sticking them in some AS-foam in a small cardboard box? How many parts are you trying to ship? -----Original Message----- From: Tim Fifield [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, October 28, 2003 5:37 AM To: Protel EDA Forum Subject: [PEDA] Off Topic: QFP Tray Importance: High Hi All, Sorry for the off topic. I am in desperate need of a tray for a P-TQFP-64-4 package (the part is an infineon C164CM micro controller) for shipping some programmed parts to the UK asap. If anybody knows where I could find some, preferably in Canada so I don't have to go through customs, please let me know.
