*To nominate yourself*

Read the Governance document and confirm you are ready for the
commitment: https://github.com/prometheus/governance/blob/main/GOVERNANCE.md

If you're interested, add your nomination at `candidate-<your-githubid>.md`
under `elections/2026/`, and open a PR
against prometheus/governance <https://github.com/prometheus/governance> before
8 June 2026 23:59 UTC: nomination template
<https://github.com/prometheus/governance/blob/main/elections/2026/nomination-template.md>

*To vote*

The canonical voters list is derived from accounts with write access
across the prometheus and prometheus-community GitHub organizations:

https://github.com/prometheus/governance/blob/main/elections/2026/voters-list/write-access.csv

If you are a maintainer of a github.com/prometheus or
github.com/prometheus-community repository, you are eligible to vote — but
we can only reach you if your email is public. Please make sure your
repository has a `MAINTAINERS.md` listing you with a contact email. If you
believe you should be eligible but are not on the list, you can also submit
a review request before 12 June 2026 23:59 UTC at:

https://forms.gle/tasSbJ9cQdsfj5GV9

All existing prometheus-team members are automatically eligible.

Voting will be conducted via CIVS (Condorcet Internet Voting
Service), using ranked Condorcet with Instant Runoff Voting as the
tie-breaker. Voting is private — nobody, including the Election Officers,
will know any individual's vote.

To receive your ballot when voting opens on 15 June 2026, please opt
in via the CIVS form: https://civs1.civs.us/cgi-bin/opt_in.pl

*Election Officers*

Joe Adams (@sysadmind)

Please direct questions to the Election Officers, or to the
electionannouncements
issue <https://github.com/prometheus/governance/issues/6> .

Thanks for participating — and please take a moment to nominate
yourself or someone you'd encourage to run.
