I believe that's because Michel is too greedy. I ceased logging in to UT a long while ago because if you want to search, you need to pay. What kind of a forum is that? People are answering the questions and Michel is making a buck out of it. WTF. I'm not going back there ever again.

Yesterday wrote a blog article on my new tool GoToFile and I posted an message with a URL link to it on several FoxPro forums, as I usually do when I create new FoxPro posts on my blog. I am able to track the traffic to the blog post using bilty, so I can see how many hits I get and where they come from. The response from Foxite blew away the Universal Thread users by nearly 4:1, and even the response from the Visual FoxPro forum on MSDN was 2:1 over UT. It's sad to see UT lagging so far behind. I wonder why this is? Is it because the UT are more advanced or mature in VFP, and are not so easily entertained by such simple things? Is it associated with *me*, as if UT users don't like seeing my content or they ignore my posts (I don't think so... I *think* I have a good reputation there and have been an active member for MANY years) www.foxite.com 38 clicks MSDN VFP forum 19 clicks UniversalThread 10 clicks I had similar statistic response to my recent release of GoFish, which I also announced at the same places, and tracked the same way. (Similar in that Foxite was slightly more than 2:1 over UT.) www.foxite.com 54 clicks FoxCentral.net 33 clicks UniversalThread 24 clicks MSDN VFP forum 21 clicks [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
