We outsourced our exchange server to apptix. They charge $8.95/month for 1 mail box. They provide a droid app for $2.95/month. We have employees on both coasts. Everone accesses all incoming emails, faxes and phone calls through the same exchange screen. They let you have a copy of outlook 2007 to install on the local computers to access exchange included in the monthly fee.
We used to have 2 servers mirrored for our exchange. We had to back it up twice per day because without exchange, we can't run our company. I can't imagine. There is no way we would go back to doing this inhouse. While we think we have the outlook/exchange costs under good control, the problem is that Outlook is often unreliable and locks up for no appearant reason. This is not related to the exchange outsourcing because it only affects one computer when it happens. We have been using icq for our IM for more than 10 years. It often fails. I changed to Trillian to access icq, but it fails often. We are looking for a replacement. It would be great if Google would offer an exchange and icq replacement for a reasonable cost. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rick Schummer" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, June 18, 2011 6:35 AM Subject: RE: [NF] Android Synching with Outlook 2003 >>How can I synch my PC's Outlook with Android Platform:<< http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2382337,00.asp Or shortened: http://is.gd/U7ZJzl Rick White Light Computing, Inc. www.whitelightcomputing.com www.swfox.net www.rickschummer.com [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/109901cc2dcc$4c19f690$7a00a8c0@w2k3s02 ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
