I got an android Samsung galaxy s and I like the operating system, as far as the way it works. However I have two SIM's and I returned to France and swopped them only to find the apps fell over. I now have to reinstall most of them. So not impressed there. I also got an ipad and I have to say... looks great but what a crap operating system. Plus the having to give apple a credit card just to get the free stuff. Plus that really crap and a half iTunes rubbish. Also looked at tablets. Windows is great with a mouse but rubbish tablet operating system. Now I wish I got the 10.1" android offerings rather than the ipad. One big plus for me on the android, Samsung anyway, is the method of input using a moving finger on the keyboard. It is easy to get used to and mostly accurate and clever. The speak and search is really good too, most the time. And the other times and quite amusing. Android is unable to offer Skype with video. Pity as the camera is ok. The ipad camera made me look like a "chinnie", one of those upside down faces that were on the TV. Can't use it for Skype as it make me look worse than the real thing. Why did I waste money on an ipad????? I've been against them for ages but though I needed to look at programming for them. As far as outlook is concerned, android can sort of, at least so far in my findings, but using the Google online calendar. I think it has exchange client but not tried it. Kies, the Samsung version of iTunes, is almost as bad as iTunes but it does not want a credit card. It has sync there but as I use imap I don't need to sync email so can't say if it works or not. Secretary still looks best, ipad second place on looks if not use.
