I have never been able to get an encrypted wireless connection to work. No, I don't want to spend extra money--I want to use the common-as-dirt NIC chip in my computer and the router my ISP gives me. Is that too much to ask? Apparently so--there are all kinds of compatibility issues rearing their ugly heads in this area...
