Rafael, XP Mode is always going to be in an emulation of hardware. A VM has a BIOS like real hardware does. Though, you may not be able to get to the BIOS of XP Mode. What they were specifically talking about is hardware that has virtualization hooks that the VM's can take advantage of. Depending on the BIOS of the host system, hardware virtualization may or may not be enabled. Newer systems they are enabled by default. Two years ago, they were disabled by default.
