You made a blanket statement about not using LMI at all so I offered up my real world opinion. <g>
I'm just talking about how it feels to me (i.e. roughly equivalent) not whether it's "really possible". RDP is great with screen scrapes; no question about it. RDP operates at a much lower level, Windows sends the graphics primitives across the wire (draw a box here, draw some text there). LMI and similar effectively take screenshots, compress them and send them down the wire. RDP has other important advantages, such as it's resolution independent. LMI is great for support, but not for teleworking.
