Support...
Well when the support was available from Microsoft for VFP it was paid. I
know you can find answers to your questions on this illustrious group and
other collection of like-minded sites faster that you could waiting on hold
for Microsoft.

" I have yet to run into anything I can't do with VFP and third party tools"
... I can: Get meaningful support. Outside of this illustrious group and a
small collection of like-minded sites out there, there is virtually nothing
out there of any depth. This is not a slam against VFP. I really wish it was
different, but it has become a niche product that is slowly fading from
relevance because it is not supported. Again, this is not a slam. I respect
the community here and the product itself, but it's exceedingly difficult to
find user communities, and for me, that was enough to push me to a different
language where I could actually get help.

I don't know about weird, but I do know about Customers.
I still maintain programs written over the years some going back to Foxpro
For Dos. If a program works in the first place the only reason to move to a
new program is to make it prettier.. When I read all the posts that Foxpro
Is dead the only thing that comes to my mind is Microsoft's need for greed.
I have yet to run into anything I can't do with VFP and third party tools.
