I still think it is way down on the older single core of old. I understand
what you say but i still think vfp took over the single core well

Dual processors are still worth it.  Because Windows has so many other
things 'running' in the background, VFP will still be a bit faster
because the system isn't interrupting it for all the other crap.  Don't
look at it as 'half the speed'; we're not trying for max CPU usage, we
want our best app speed.  Besides, VFP spends most of its time waiting
for IO anyway.
