On top of that Obama, Reid, et. al. was all hopped up to reform Wall Street. 
The GM IPO was a chance to clip the wings of the big guys. But guess what, 
all of the big guys who were the highest flyers are handling the IPO and 
will make millions for themselves. So much for the politicians.

When IPOs were common it was difficult to get involved.  Now when they
are few and far between the Brokerage firms are the only ones getting
the action.

If you think that this would ever change because of party leadership
you are missing the point.  The FUNDING source for campaigns wants it
this way so they can reward themselves.
