Mike, There is six support staff here that speak with customers daily. They use the Remote Helpdesk software. It has helped with fixing problems with Registration of COM objects, finding mismatched VFP DLL files, and seeing what the customer is talking about on the workstation. When I get involved, I don't talk with the customers directly, I can correct some of the problems quickly then education the technician after the customer is off the phone. I can say this has saved me hours of my time in the last couple of months. The built in scripting tool helps because I can write a script that keeps the technician from understanding the problem fully, but is able to correct the problem via the script. Or get someone that does know more about it to fix the problem. Currently I have a need to read a default registry entry of a key on an end user workstation. Though I can read and write to the Registry, I'm unable to find a way to read/write the default key. i.e. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.dbf - (Default) = Visual.FoxPro.Table Tracy Pearson PowerChurch Software _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/000b01cb8745$a50d0c20$ef2724...@com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
