This is really far out but I have been scratching my head and Googling for an hour. I cannot recall the name of the comedy actor who played in a movie about making contracts with the devil and in every scene the devil double-crosses him.
One scene is particularly memorable in which he was turned into a fly so he could see what was going on at a hidden meeting. When he gets back he has to say the magic words before he permanently becomes a fly. He keeps going phtt, phtt, until he manages to say the words.
