Jeff, Q&A had an inbuilt file export function. I remember the product well as it had the first "plain English" engine that used to interpret requests for data. My ex wife still uses it for all her client contact data.
The database format was based around xBase but using a proprietary indexing system and a differenc bytes in the file header but as I say you can actually export in standard .DBF format.
