Mike: you can use SUMPRODUCT and an array formula, eg:
=SUMPRODUCT(IF(B11:B26="H",1,0),C11:C26,IF(F11:F26="8a",1,0)) To enter the formula as an array formula you can use Shift+Ctrl+Enter to confirm the cell instead of Enter. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/introducing-array-formulas-in-excel-HA001087290.aspx HTH Pablo On Fri, 05 Nov 2010 15:54:27 -0400, "MB Software Solutions, LLC" <[email protected]> wrote: >User has problem with this formula: > >=SUM(IF(($B$11:$B$26="H")*($C$11:$C$26<9),$F$11:$F$26))+SUM(IF(($B$11:$B$26="H")*($C$11:$C$26="8a"),$F$11:$F$26)) > >It just yields "#VALUE" which means that there's an error there.
