Are you saying that it is a wrong thing to attempt to push auto
development towards being more petroleum conservative?  If USA and
western European autos strike the 50+ MPG mark by that time is the
entire world a winner?

Don't they do what they can afford to do?  They get hand me down in
equipment and technology from airplanes to mining gear.

I had to chuckle at the Gore artwork and his wedding ring.  I bet that
was chosen for irony.
