I admired the way the Dutch played throughout the tournament, but not
how they played today. Spain was clearly the better team today.
Regarding the De Jong foul, it sure looked like a red card when I saw
it initially, but on the replay it looked as though he went to kick the ball,
then realized he was going to kick his opponent, and tried to pull his leg
back. Even with that, I probably would have sent him off, but being the first
half of a WC final...
Congrats to Spain! They are an excellent champion!
