individual yanks)

Please tell me yanks don't base their judgment of a president's worth by 
paying attention to how he decorates the White House and which busts he 
keeps and which he sends away. Please tell me yanks actually pay 
attention to internal and external politics and not about his "failure 
to reflect a powerful sense of urgency" (unless, of course, his work 
description is "mirror" instead of "president"). Please tell me yanks 
are not as stupid as this columnist.
