We find ourselves in the punish mindset today or am I missing a point?

Yes as a nation we are frustrated at the situation in the gulf. I
would like to see more teamwork going forward.

For some reason people here are expecting to hold dividends of a
foreign company. That is pretty scary talk. The need of dividends to
be issued by BP is far greater then the volume of money they
represent. Massive forced sell offs of BP will be required which will
only weaken the company and that is in no way beneficial to the larger
picture of funding the cleanup over decades.

These forced sell offs will be through investment funds that will
effect retirements in either 401K or IRA environments. The funds have
rules that every stock must pay dividends. If we "stop" this from
happening it will be a much bigger problem we CREATE for not only
ourselves but for the world.

I think we need to attempt to pull BP out of running the show. I
would like to see our President take control of BP USA. I would like
to see the top companies who fix these problems brought in instead of
just one set of engineers who are part of BP, and they have to deal
with costs etc.

Lastly we need to relax environmental controls to allow diverse
treatment techniques to what has leaked already. The do not harm,
100% effective requirement could be scaled back to say 75% or more and
we might get a lot more of this mess contained and dealt with.

What are they going to do with it is one area that I have not heard
much about. That tremendous volume is already out of control. Can
they burn it, or is to too waterlogged for combustion? Have the
disbursement chemicals rendered it highly toxic if burned? If they
did the hay game or man made fibers could that be burned in the middle
of the gulf aboard a series of ships?
