Vince and others,
This is a useful reg update that I find I use all the time. It adds an
extension to Explorer right click that allows you to take ownership of any
file or folder.

Subject: [NF] Wind2008 server - how to get back admin rights to a folder?

Doofus here, managed to remove all rights to a folder I need, but
removed them for administrators only. Don't ask me how, I don't know.

But if you're logged in with any of the three admin logins, including
the original that came with the server, you can't even open the folder,
let alone (most importantly) change the permissions.

Luckily, the users can still access the folder, so it's not critical at
the moment, but a user doesn't have rights to change permissions, so I
can't restore access that way.

Any thoughts on how I can get the bullet out of my foot and get admin
rights back? Thanks.

[excessive quoting removed by server]
