Mike,

If it is the Registry, it is where you are writing the information. If you
write it to the user editable locations, not the system locations you'll be
able to get this to work.

However, if there is a network involved. Home Premium can only connect to
other Home Premium systems in Peer-to-peer configurations, or to a Home
Server. (supposedly) If he is connecting to a domain, he's not being
authenticated. If you're attempting to write to files on the network, the
rights might be set to Authenticated users can write, but users only have
read access, which may be the problem. Without knowing what messages the end
user really got, you are guessing.
