They announced this morning that there are 1,025 paid attendees at 
PyCon Atlanta, making it the largest PyCon ever. What's more, nearly 11% were 
women: while this sounds very small, if you've ever been to a tech conference, 
you;ll understand how remarkable that is.

        Just goes to show that the whole notion that "in-person conferences are 
dead" simply isn't true.
