Gary,

Not sure I quite understand the problem/question, but I suspect that one
thing you may be looking for is a class definition that you can place on
each page with commonly used commands, such as SEARCH or navigation
commands. The class can detect which page (parent/underlying table) it's
been added to and behave accordingly. 

My approach to designing pagesets is to regard each page as a
"mini-application" in it's own right, and I let the operator pick and choose
which pages are to appear in which pagesets (within the larger choice of
which pagesets are to occupy the pageframe that is displayed for the
application). Some pages (mini-applications) have a lot in common, such as
those used to manage changes, problems and requirements, for example, and
they share a common "commands" class, even though the underlying tables are
different.
