Hi, I recently deployed a biometric fingerprint reader for time attendance. The local supplier gave us an ocx written in VB so that I can communicate with the device in real time. This device is on our LAN and I can connect it through its local IP and port number.
This ocx is working fine in VB for real time event handling. But in VFP 7 and VFP 9, sometime it does not capture the real time event properly. If I minimize and maximize my program's main window then it captures and shows the event data on screen. Why Foxpro hangs while reading the data from the device and refreshes when I manually minimize and maximize the program?
