I don't believe that filters solve the problem. It's like there's a guy in
the back of the room heckling and shouting  nonsense every time you try to
talk, and while you can put in an earplug, you know it's happening and
others are listening, which frustrates the forum in different ways. Some
just leave, some are inhibited from talking, some are confused, some are
mad, etc. Thus what could have been an incubator for useful idea development
becomes a stricken neighborhood. 

Where's the creativity?

Ed, don't you work for a company whose business is the cloud? What do they
have to say? Don't they see a great opportunity to make the net more useful,
even just for themselves at first? I see IBM has gone with something like
second city. Isn't that inspiring?
