Hi Michael, I have been using a 4 megapixel camera for years. You have to reduce the resolution a lot for web posting, otherwise your site will be too slow. Unless the kids are going to be doing a *lot* of Photoshop cropping they will not need 12 megapixels. I suggest you find a lower resolution camera for kid use, should be a *lot* less than $99.
