Hi Gene,

Mike is a "shock poster", it's his brand. At least he doesn't go on and 
on - a remark about your virility, your orientation, your mother, the 
futility of your career, the kind of girls who wouldn't have you if you 
were the last man on earth, how even God won't have you - all in the 
same post. He might hit you with one of these in a post, but not all.

He does have a filter. He only posts a sentence or two. Maybe three.

I have a similar filter, I limit my material to one screen in my editor, 
and trim the stuff I am responding to unless it is very brief.
