Yes people start to moan when its them. Never mind all the little shops gone because the chosen way was wallmart for shopping. People demand cheaper goods so it comes from abroad and when it's too late, moan about jobs going. VFP jobs is another reason though, everyone thinks it's dead and has been for a while. We know otherwise but the damage is done. Al

It most certainly is not because we are or aren't good enough...we definitely have the talent to get the job done here....it's that we cost too much compared to the imported labor. THAT'S the point. It has NOTHING (or at least very little) to do with the level of competency (although that's the koolaid they're selling) and has EVERYTHING (or mostly) to do with the cost of labor. "You have to see the big picture." Um, yeah, and that picture is of foreign labor versus native labor and the cost savings they see by using the former. Any native countryman (be it whatever country you live in) should always chastise his native companies for using foreign labor instead of native labor. It's a fundamental argument, here...regardless of whether we're talking about shipbuilders, programmers, textiles, or whatever. And don't throw some shitty WalMart line out here to me because I absolutely buy local when I can before supporting companies who provide foreign goods. I'm all for doing what you can to support the local economy first. Keep your dollars working for you at home...wherever you call home. I would expect citizens in ANY country to feel the same.
