Richard - to answer your question. Yes, I do have access to Delete files from that directory. If I shut down VFP - I can THEN delete the file. Or, if I shutdown VFP - and then go back into VFP - and open up the PRG - I am able to compile. Which also means (to answer Q #2) its my current session of VFP that is causing the hold on the file.
However, I recently found a work-around. At the point in the main application running - when I am suspended - at the command prompt I issue the Cancel command. All the public var's are still there - which is what is needed by my program - and then I can run my program. After running my program - I now have no problem being able to edit it and compile and re-run it! Not sure of exactly WHY it works - but, it does - so, that's all that really matters... -K- -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Richard Kaye Sent: Thursday, September 03, 2009 12:54 PM Sounds puzzling indeed. Any possibility you don't have delete permission in the folder the fxp lives in? Is it possible there is another fxp with the same name in the execution path? Can you run something like filemon and see what processes have a handle to the fxp? rk _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/289ea162f5642645b5cf64d624c66a1405578...@us-ny-mail-002.waitex.net ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
