Alan & Malcolm, That report is bang on the button, i.e. close but no banana and you are correct with regards to "roll you own" code that is mostly present in Crystal. In terms of "extensibility" (I hate that word!) it is easy to write addons for, but you shouldn't need to in the first place for many of the standard functions that aren't present.
Well found. It's an OK tool but there are some things in it that should be easy to do which in fact require a very convoluted approach. It's definitely not in Crystal territory. This site sums up some limitations: http://www.crystalreportsbook.com/SSRSandCR_ParametersAndFormulas.asp You could even end up have to write extensions in a .NET language to achieve some things, depending on the complexity of the requirement. -- Alan Bourke alanpbourke (at) fastmail (dot) fm [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/bcf4430ba74b46b29abbdf659a431...@develop ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
