One of the "root cause" problems of our system today is the
extra-constitutional two-party "duopoly", which basically guarantees in any
one arm of government at every level a "majority faction" -- recall,
"majority faction" is one particularly consequential evil of democratic
government that the Founders explicitly called out and targeted with various
features of our Constitution.

Another problem is the income tax. Our Founders never intended there to be
an income tax -- ever. All tax revenue was to be obtained by a modest tariff
on articles of manufacture, period. I can list an endless stream of quotes
from Washington to Teddy Roosevelt about the evils of the income tax and
merits of the tariff for encouraging capitalists to invest in American
labor.

Thanks to Woodrow Wilson, we have the income tax, the UN (he pimped an early
and especially pathetic precursor to it, the "League of Nations"), and
central reserve banking. All of these were antithetical to the underlying
philosophical objectives of our system.

It's a mistake to compare Obama to Lincoln or FDR. He's rather more like
Wilson---something of an academic, a know-it-all, man-of-the-world, and
hostile to the core of Constitutional republicanism on so many levels. Most
people don't know this but Wilson actually had dissenters rounded up and
interned, not unlike what Obama is starting with his "fishy rumor" website,
his "civilian expeditionary force," and the concentration camps they are
building under the guise of preparing for future FEMA emergencies.
