Hi Eurico,

There were some statistics out years ago, about how 1% of whites are
criminals and 10% of blacks, blacks being 12% of the population. Since
that was years ago, it could have changed one way or another.

In each case, the criminals are a minority of the larger population.
Most unlikely that anyone could find the house where stolen property
belonging to him/her would be.

About the time that set of statistics was published I experienced my own
home being burglarized. There was a burglar caught red handed in the
building a while later, in fact, I pointed him out to the police. He
denied it as "racism" until the police searched him and found burglary
tools. The burglar was black, mulatto, actually. He was wanted for
something else and went to jail for that.

A few years later the police recovered one piece of property that had
been stolen from me, a .357 Smith and Wesson Model 19 revolver - traced
to me and to the burglary report by its serial number. The person who
possessed the revolver was described as "black", I never saw him. He was
not prosecuted, claiming to have bought the gun. Of course, in Michigan
where this all happened it was at that time against the law to buy or
possess a gun without all sorts of paperwork - which he did not have,
but he was not prosecuted. However, he had been shot with the gun by his
"old lady", thus attracting the attention of the police.
