Thanks Richard, but that won't be necessary.  I'll bone up on BLOBs and 
SQL data types and will test here.  This is legacy code that's worked 
for nearly a decade.  I think we're seeing failures now, because we've 
only recently began to have clients using SQL server backend.  Thanks.
