Hi Bob! Yes. Now the old one is 10 years old, the new one is only 7. The Ubuntu 9.04 OS, however, is the latest version while the old one currently has to make do with Ubuntu 8.10, 6 months old. Oh, I could update, but . . . Dabo, however, is unique. It packages Python code facilities into a VFP like interface. Since the code is Python, the resulting app will run cross platform or on the web as a service *without* a local browser. The old Dabo install was problematical, but it ultimately worked. This time I approached it through subversion, which is supposed to facilitate upgrades. Subversion produced neat directory packaging, but I can't get it to work yet. The last time I installed it from a downloaded file and wound up with a very, ah, *novel* directory structure. I had to add a path to get it to work. That *could* be what is happening now, or perhaps a module is missing. I am going to take a nap, then screw with it. If I can't get it running by Tuesday I will do something like last time. NO!
