Jerry I assume your product saves information?
You could restrict how many records are saved. I allow 4 weeks of payroll data to be saved in my 'demo', they need a password to continue after that. An accounts package could allow say 100 records before it becomes view only. ps if you do go down this route then have another password that allows an extended record number. When somebody says the cheque is in the post you can give this to them. It allows a further number of records and of course if the cheque does not come the product will return to view only.
